  1. Inaugural Race to Stop Traffick 5k & Fun Run; Sponsored by Operation Underground Railroad

    October 21, 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM

    Runners, walkers, and defenders of exploited children everywhere, come join us as we “Race to Stop Traffick,” at the Terrace in Westlake. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit Operation Underground Railroad (www.OURrescue.org), a non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue and rehabilitate children sold into sex slavery in the U.S. and around the world. There will be a 1-Mile Fun Run as well as an officially timed 5k race. Participants, including families and kids, are welcome to take part in finish line festivities such as a Halloween costume contest, carnival games, face painting, live music, and a raffle booth. The course will begin at the Terrace business complex in the city of Westlake and continue along a winding course through lush greenery and some of the nicest homes in the Metroplex. Disposable timing chips will be provided by Chip-2-Chip Race Timing. T-shirts will be given to every participant and prizes awarded to the top finishers in each category.

  2. 7th Annual Westlake Classic Car Show; Proceeds to benefit the Westlake Historical Preservation Society.

    October 21, 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Exit Solana Blvd off of SH 114 and travel one block south to Sam School Road

    Held annually on the third Saturday in October, the Westlake Classic Car Show is a great time to discover the Golden Era of the Automobile. This is a car show for vintage classic original or restored-to-original automobiles, trucks, and pickups for 1909-1959 models only. Each year the number of registrants continues to grow. Last year, about 95 cars were on display with over 800 in attendance. We hope you will make plans to come on out and enjoy the beauty of these classics and the fall weather in Westlake! And new this year - a special section just for our younger car show fans, a Kids Korral to include a pine car derby race, fan belt toss, & more activities.

  3. Westlake Academy 10th Annual Monster Mash Fall Festival; Hosted by the WA HOC (PTO)

    October 21, 4:30 PM - 10:00 PM

    Held on the grounds of Westlake Academy, this family-friendly festival features Trunk-or-Treat, carnival style Boo Games hosted by the PYP classrooms, food from Meat U Anywhere BBQ, a haunted house hosted by the Senior class, and outdoor movies courtesy of the WA Student Council. Don’t miss out on the largest gathering of the Westlake Academy community! Hosted by the House of Commons – all proceeds support programs for Westlake Academy students and teachers! Discounted presale tickets are available through Oct 16 at https://squareup.com/store/wahoc/ Tickets will also be available at the door.

  4. Westlake Baja at Vaquero; Presented by the Westlake Academy Foundation

    Sponsor, play, or just party - but JOIN US for the Westlake Baja, a one-of-a-kind, wildly fun event for Westlake Academy! Proceeds will fund "above and beyond" teacher grants and build our NEW Math & Science Plaza! Back by popular demand, the Sewell Automotive Helicopter Ball Drop! If your ball is first into the hole, you'll putt for a new 2018 car! Ladies will enjoy a morning of fun games and contests at Vaquero's tennis courts. Golfers will play in the 9-Hole Par 3 Scramble under the lights along with skills challenges for luxury prizes. Sponsors will also enjoy rounds of golf played at the Vaquero Club on a day of your choosing! All Baja guests will enjoy a fun evening with a cocktail party, archery and paintball target contests, and dancing to The Jam Wows (of Gallery Night fame!). We'll pause just long enough for the important task of raising $170,000 for our teachers' dream project - a NEW Math & Science Plaza!

  5. Simply Westlake hosts Neighbors' Night Out for Westlake & Timarron Residents

    Westlake and Southlake Timarron residents are invited to attend an evening with your neighbors while enjoying an art display from Westlake’s own artist Trish Biddle and a photography display from Timarron’s own Steve Weissenfluh. Be inspired by their talent and passion while sipping and strolling through the 15,000 square foot Starpower showroom. Enjoy a culinary demonstration from a top industry chef throughout the evening for up-to-date tips to use at home. This exclusive Simply Westlake event is in collaboration with Our Neighborhood Life for Timarron and will include complimentary light appetizers, along with a beer and wine selection. Join us for a long or short as your schedule permits.
