AT&T announced around 10:00 pm Wednesday night (Mar.8) that its cell phone customers are once again reaching 911 dispatch centers after hours of issues across the nation.
Please keep in mind that those in the communities of Keller, Colleyville, Southlake and Westlake can always use our non-emergency dispatch line - 817-743-4522 - to also reach help quickly or to report any issue causing them concern.
Many law enforcement and government agencies in Texas, Florida, Chicago, California, New York and other states reported the problem Wednesday evening.
AT&T spokesperson offered customers apologies for the problem but did not immediately provide details on how many states or customers were affected or what caused the outage. During the outage, many police departments and emergency services agencies in affected states provided alternate numbers for people to call if they had an emergency.
