Each week until completion, Town staff will provide you with updates on the Dove Road reconstruction project. Here is the very latest information from our crews on the scene.
- The base layer of paving from Davis Blvd to the Southlake town limit along the construction zone will be completed by the end of this week. This means that the dust will be greatly diminished from this point forward. There is an area near the bridge/culvert that will remain unfinished until the bridge structure is complete.
- Tarrant County crews will begin laying the finishing layer of paving over the entire length of the construction zone starting Monday, July 24th. This process should take approximately 2 weeks. During this time, the road will remain closed to cut through traffic but will be open to residents.
- The finishing of the bridge structure will continue over the next 3 weeks. This will include stone facing, ornamental guardrail installation and the finishing of the outfall structures. Also, until the very end of this project, there will be maintenance and upgrading of the drainage along Dove Road.
- Tarrant County, the paving contractor, and Jackson construction, the culvert/bridge contractors have not missed any working days in July despite the almost 3 inches of rain received to date.
