[ARCHIVED] Important Update Regarding Zoning Case Z-06-19-17 in Solana
The Town of Westlake held a joint Council and Planning & Zoning work session on Oct. 30 so that residents and stakeholders could come learn more about Solana's Planned Development District 1, which includes the pending zoning case, Z-06-19-17, filed by Wilbow Corp. About 20 residents, along with several other stakeholders, attended this meeting and we greatly appreciate their time to attend and interest to learn more about this current case.
The primary discussion centered around the current PD-1 zoning provisions and the effect of the comprehensive plan on the PD-1 zoning. The discussion also provided an overview of the PD-1 district along with its history, specific zoning provisions, and the relationship to our previous and current comprehensive planning documents.
As a result of the P&Z committee's decision on Oct. 16 to continue the Public Hearing and table any decision regarding the above-noted zoning case, no decision was made during the Oct. 30 Town Council meeting.
Please note: the Public Hearing and pending recommendations for this case will continue at the Planning & Zoning Commission's regular meeting on November 13, 2017. Please watch for that upcoming agenda to be posted by Nov.10, 2017.
