As you continue to hear about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to update you on the steps we are taking as a Town Staff to prepare should we have cases in our community.
Internally, we have established a Staff team, led by Fire Chief Richard Whitten, that regularly monitors regional, state, and federal information. Staff participates in regional and state public health conference calls and continues to monitor the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the Texas Education Agency, and the International Baccalaureate Organization’s websites. The CDC page has proved to be extremely informative and helpful.
We want to emphasize that as of now there have been no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Westlake. However, if there are in the future, we will be advised by local health officials. We are working diligently to stay on top of this ever-evolving situation and to keep you informed as it develops.
Respectfully,
Amanda DeGan
Westlake Town Manager
