Proposed FY 2020-21 Operating Budget & Capital Improvement Plan
As required by State law, the notice above was placed in the newspaper this week regarding the upcoming Public Hearing for the Town of Westlake’s FY 2020-21 Operating & Capital Budget. This hearing will be held virtually during the Town Council meeting on the same evening as the Tax Rate Public Hearing - Monday, September 14, 2020. The Town Council meeting will begin immediately following the 5:00 pm Board of Trustees Meeting. The proposed 2020-21 operating and capital budget has now been posted to the website under the Finance Department tab and it is included in the agenda packet for the September 14, 2020 Town Council public hearing & meeting for adoption, including the $0.16788 proposed tax rate adoption.
This FY 20-21 budget will raise more total property taxes than last year’s budget by $122,145, or 5.20%, and of that amount $134,493 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the tax roll this year.
