The town of Westlake recently completed the installation of a new outdoor warning aystem. The system consists of three warning sirens spaced throughout the town and provides a vital tool in keeping the citizens aware and safe during times of severe weather or other emergency conditions. This system is required to be tested at regular intervals in order to ensure that it remains operational at all times.
Testing of the system has been scheduled to occur on the first day of every month at one o'clock in the afternoon. The test will last for approximately 1 minute and sirens will be audible throughout the town. Please, do not be alarmed during testing as the tests will not occur on days where storms are present or forecasted. These tests have also been engineered to create as little interference as possible with the learning environment at Westlake Academy.
