Here is information about three very important elections, each of which will have a major impact on the Town of Westlake:

• Texas State Senate District 9
  • Special Runoff Election
  • Office vacated by Kelly Hancock
  • Election is January 31st
• Texas House of Representatives District 98
  • Giovanni Capriglione is not seeking re-election
  • Primary election held on March 3rd
  • Candidates will represent their party in the November general election
• Westlake Town Council/Board of Trustees
  • Elections for Mayor, Place 2, and Place 4
  • Candidates may file through February 13, 2026
  • Applications are accepted by the Town Secretary's Office

8 AM THURSDAY UPDATE: After reassessing conditions on campus, Westlake Academy will remain closed throughout Thursday, January 29th.

Current school statuses in the area:

Northwest ISD: Closed Thursday

Keller ISD: Closed Thursday

Carroll ISD: OPEN Thursday during normal operating hours

Westlake Town Hall and Municipal Court will remain open during normal business hours.
