The Town of Westlake Public Works Department will set new, permanent meters sized 2" or smaller. Larger meters will require consultation with staff. To request a meter, please follow these steps:
1. Fill out the online account set-up form found here: New Submission (westlake-tx.org)
2. Under "Type of Account," choose "BUILDER." Another field will appear where you will indicate the meter size. Your application cannot be processed without a meter size.
3. Once we receive your application, the Utility Billing Department will calculate your fees & deposits. An email detailing the fees will be sent to the email address provided on the application. Account set-up fees can be viewed here. Please note that Fort Worth Impact Fees will vary based on plat date, permit date, & meter size. The Town of Westlake does not control or retain any part of Fort Worth Impact Fees.
4. Deliver your payment to the Utility Billing Department at Town Hall, 1500 Solana Blvd, Building 7 Suite 7200. If you need directions, please call 817.430.0941.
5. Once your payment is received, your account will be set up & the work order will be issued.
6. Public Works field staff will set the meter within 5 working days, barring any extreme circumstances. The meter box must be dug up and unbroken, with the water service accessible. The address must be clearly posted on the lot prior to requesting the meter set. Failure to comply will lead to delays and may result in reinspection fees and cancellation of your request.
