2 PM WEDNESDAY UPDATE: Most of North Texas, including Westlake, is now under a winter storm warning. 1-4 inches of snow is expected with a mix of sleet, ice, snow, and freezing rain.
Roads will be slick in some parts of DFW starting in the morning with conditions worsening around midday.
Friday will be a different story as the winter weather continues throughout Thursday and into Friday causing conditions, especially on roads, to worsen.
The forecast is challenging because it’s not a traditional setup. It’s very difficult to tell which locations will see what combination of winter precipitation. Accumulation totals will vary across small distances.
Regarding school closures: Please continue to watch for your school district's emails and monitor their websites and social media for any updates.
