If you missed the Town Council/Board of Trustees meeting on Monday, January 6, here is everything you need to know:
*Council heard and discussed the 2024 Charter First rating for Westlake Academy
*Council approved ordinance 1015 approving text amendments for the land on the southeast corner of Highway 377 and Highway 170. The amendments are intended to introduce more contemporary rules and regulations to facilitate appropriate development and growth along the 377 corridor.
*Council agreed to a request to deviate from the required first-floor square footage in Westlake Ranch by removing that provision and allowing the building setbacks to govern.
*Council approved a request to deviate from permitted roofing materials from clay to concrete in Entrada Block M1, also known as La Cima de Entrada.
*Council approved the motion to raise Westlake Academy's contribution towards the WA field renovations project from $500,000 to $1,000,000 with no further action until additional funds are secured.
*Council ordered the general election for May 3, 2025, for places 1,3, and 5 and a special election for place 2.
