The Westlake Development Corporation, Inc. (EDC 4B) was incorporated by the Town of Westlake after Westlake voters approved a half- cent sales and use tax for economic development at an election held January 1995. Funds received by the EDC are used to promote the economic growth of Westlake and give the Corporation flexibility to assist companies with infrastructure and other items of key importance to the company and the community. The EDC is made up of four Council members and three residents.
